Nepali President Ram Baran Yadav has accepted the resignation tendered by Prime Minister Prachanda Monday evening.
Prachanda had submitted his resignation to the president at the latter's office in the capital Kathmandu, soon after announcing his resignation to the nation.

Yadav has also asked the incumbent Council of Ministers to carry out its duty till a new Council of Ministers is formed.
Accepting the weakness that the government could not achieve during his tenure, Prachanda, also the chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) declared resignation from his post when he was addressing to the nation Monday afternoon.
